For Women Who Want The Ballerific Life!
This past Rivalry Saturday in College Football was unforgettable. Rivalry Saturday is where you see Teams, Alumni and Fans do the unexpected on game day. Fans should never allow their anger to drive them into killing anyone over a loss. Adrian Laroze Briskey, 28 (pictured above), has been charged with murder in the killing of 36 year old Michelle Shepherd.
Briskey and Shepherd were at the same Iron Bowl watch party and they were both fans of the University of Alabama. After Auburn returned a missed field goal by Alabama to win the game, Briskey went into a rage after seeing Shepherd and her sister joke about the loss not being that bad. Briskey told the women that they were not real Alabama fans and began shooting. According to USA Today Sports, Shepherd was shot to death in the parking lot of a an apartment complex in the Birmingham suburb of Hoover and the women did not know each other.
Shepherd, a mother of three, lost her life all because of a fan taking this game and rivalry too seriously. It is okay to be a hardcore fan of your team, but you have to remember that other fans deal with loss in different ways. When you are around other fans watching the game remember that their reaction may not match yours. Who brings a gun to a College Football game watch party anyway?? Fans control your actions, your anger and know when to just walk away.
