Thursday night will change the lives of young men forever. Some dreams will be realized, others deferred to a more appropriate time. No matter the outcome, the sheer fact that these young men made it to this day –the NFL Draft is a tremendous accomplishment.
For Corey Coleman , the elite wide receiver from Baylor, and Jalen Ramsey the versatile defensive back hailing from Florida State, they are seeing the fruits of their labor now. The iconic brand that has gifted generations with a cultural staple, Jumpman23, has signed the first-round projected duo.
Coleman , at 5’11 and 194lbs offers speed and agility. Although he isn’t the desired NFL size for outside, Coleman makes his opponents’ secondary work to stop him. His foot work is intriguing. He can adjust his routes and get to where he needs to be with ease.
Ramsey, at 6’1 and a lean 209lbs offers versatility in his athleticism. A former sprinter, his eyes and feet are wherever the ball and receiver is. He makes it difficult for receivers to beat him over the top. Accurate with his hits, Ramsey forces the receiver to rethink his route.
Prior to their signing, the Jumpman23 NFL roster boasted 10 athletes, including Andre Johnson, Dez Bryant and Super Bowl Champion, Earl Thomas who happens to share David Mulugheta as an agent (with Coleman and Ramsey).
