Wallace was hit with the legal battle on February 12th, by the trustee presiding over the bankruptcy case for the Detroit Masonic Temple Theatre.

The trustee explains that the Theatre wrote a check for a total of $33,232.17 to Wallace back on November 8th 2012.

The trustee claims that the debtor – Detroit Masonic Temple Theatre – has failed to show them any evidence explaining why this money was paid to the former NBA star. They claim that the Theatre has a number of loans, obligations and unpaid bills that needed to be paid before any money was paid to other people including Wallace.

The lawsuit accused Wallace of receiving a fraudulent transfer — due to the theatre’s numerous creditors being screwed out of money that was rightfully theirs NOT Wallaces – and the trustee is demanding the return of the money ASAP.

I wonder what the theater was paying Wallace for. This should be interesting.
