Today we’re going to tackle the subject of the elusive “pretty boy”/”metro-guy”/does that guy wax his eye brows?? How much “PRETTY” is too “PRETTY” for a man?

We all  like our men looking good, smelling good, hair done- etc. But I tend to take issue with a man that spends more time in the shower than I do, more time in the closet trying to pick out an outfit than I do, spends more time in the mirror than I do. Those things will get your ass booted out quickly sir. As well as stopping by every mirror we pass in any establishment we go to, or asking me every 20 minutes if his hairs in place, does his shirt look good with the pants, look good with the shoes, should he have worn the black ones, hes feeling like the black would now have been a better choice- OMFG- make it stop!! I want to be out with my MAN, not my girlfriends. If I want to deal with all of that, I’d call up the girls. So there’s a whole set of problem right there ladies, how do we handle that? Ive approached this a few different ways. #1- the passive approach…. “ hey babe, you ready? Got to go, everyones waiting” #2- the more aggressive yet still passive approach…” babe, c’mon! you don’t even have hair to fix, what are you doing in there? We’re going to be late” and finally, when it’s just gotten out of hand - #3- “what the hell are you doing in here for 30 F-ing minutes?!?! I’ve been done for half an hour, you don’t do make up, you don’t curl OR straighten any hair on your head, WHAT THE F*** are you doing in here that takes longer than me???”  all 3 of those scenarios- the dude did NOT seem to understand what I was trying to imply, which was, get your ass in gear man…. So that had to end.

Then there’s the other kind of “pretty boy” he’s just like the one mentioned above^ but he takes it a step further- and starts to criticize your look. NOW we have a problem. I could understand if we’re going out and my ass is hanging out, ok fine, and remind me of my own 2 inch rule (its one of the 1^st blogs ladies, if you haven’t read it you should) however, when you start to tell me that my blush color doesn’t really go with my eye shadow choice- again Sir, we may have an issue. If you’d like to say, hey, your cheeks are sort of REALLY red over there, that’s ok too, but reciting colors- that’s just disturbing.

And I have girlfriends that have these kind of boyfriends and its SO annoying. They wont go shopping without them, and anytime we are all together, they dude is in the chair in the dressing room as well as me, and when my friend comes out to show the outfit, he immediately critiques. OMG dude, shut up!!! Half the time their advice, and taste in clothes is horrible anyway, but the girls always go along with it, and when they see pictures from whatever event they were at where they wore the dress HE picked out, they are literally devastated. Because it looks so bad! SO – whats the deal ladies? How “pretty” is too “pretty” for you?
