Johnny Manziel, who is facing misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an incident with his girlfriend, turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday.
The ex-Cleveland Browns star is being accused of repeatedly punching his girlfriend in the head while in a car heading to Ft. Worth from a night of partying in Dallas. He turned himself in to authorities in Texas on Wednesday, but wasn’t in custody for very long. Manziel stayed just long enough to take his mug shot, post his $1,500 bond and go on about his business.
Manziel is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday. If convicted he faces up to a year in jail.
