Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski, Rex Ryan & Colin Kaepernick Star in Madden 16 “Movie” Trailer – blogged by @LoveRubyWoo

Ever wondered what some of your favorite NFL players would look like as action heroes? Well, look no further, cause NFL stars Colin Kaepernick, Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown, and Julio Jones, along with Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan, have partnered with EA Sports to bring you “Madden: The Movie”. As a way to promote the new Madden NFL 16 game, which drops on August 25, EA Sports created an ad in the form of a fake movie trailer in which the plot revolves around playing the popular video game. In this epic “movie”, these five NFL stars get their acting on and bring their action star alter-egos to life in the most unexpected and entertaining way.

So the story goes something like this…Blade Johnson, who is played by actor Dave Franco, is facing a huge crisis after an evil villain kidnaps his girlfriend Trish. Blade has 24 hours to beat him in Madden or he’ll never see his girl again. With the help of his best friend Janet, played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse, he calls on a team of “playmakers”. Half Top, played by Gronk, Trick Montalban, played by Jones, Sticky Bun, played by Brown, Lil Pepper, played by Rex Ryan, and Al Pacino from ‘Scent of a Woman’, played by Kaep, all come together to help Blade prep for the biggest game of his life. Featuring a mix of football, love, action, tragedy, unexpected plot twists, and even Bollywood dancing, “Madden: The Movie” is nothing short of Oscar-worthy. But I won’t spoil it for you. You can watch it for yourself here.

So random, yet so hilarious. These guys might just have a career in acting in the future!
