Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Undergoes Quadruple Coronary Bypass Surgery, Expected To Recover

68 year old Lakers legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, underwent quadruple coronary bypass surgery at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Thursday.  According to a press release from UCLA, Abdul-Jabber was admitted into the hospital this week with cardiovascular disease and is expected to make a full recovery. 

At this time, Abdul-Jabbar would like to thank his surgical team and the medical staff at UCLA, his alma mater, for the excellent care he has received,” says the statement from UCLA. “He is looking forward to getting back to his normal activities soon. He asks that you keep him in your thoughts and, most importantly, cherish and live each day to its fullest.”

Prayers for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as he continues his recovery.
