Lil Wayne Suing Birdman, Young Thug Coming For The Carter

There’s a lot going on in Wayne’s World these days. Despite releasing his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape, Wayne is still having problems getting Birdman to release his The Carter V album. Even worse, Young Thug says he’s going to name his next album The Carter VI. Uh oh!

Lil Wayne is pulling out the big guns to combat at least one of these issues. Reportedly the Young Money frontman is suing Birdman for $8 Million. The two tried to settle out of court and when that failed, Wayne took it before a judge. What is the $8 million for, you ask? It is supposedly an advance owed for his latest album. Wayne says Birdman has violated their contract by withholding the release of  The Carter V and since he won’t pay the advance either, Wayne should be free to go.

As far as Birdman’s new favorite, Young Thug told Shade 45’s DJ Whookid he’s going to name his new album The Carter VI. Wayne has already said The Carter V will be the last of The Carter series but according to Thug, maybe not. “Nah, I just feel like I’m that big,” Young Thug said after he announced the name of his next project. “Cause he feel like after The Carter V he ain’t gonna make no more music. Cause he feel like can’t nobody make music like that.” While he could be joking about the title, you can’t really put anything past Young Thug.

Wayne plans to keep recording and will reportedly release all new music outside of the Cash Money umbrella.
