Lil Wayne Threatens To Take Birdman To Court If The Carter V Isn’t Released

Lil Wayne is still battling Cash Money and he’s threatening legal action if Birdman doesn’t meet his demands.

You may recall a few weeks ago that Lil Wayne says he is ready to release his The Carter V album, but that both he and his album are being held prisoner by Cash Money Records. Now he’s taking matters into his own hands. Reportedly, Lil Wayne has given Birdman an ultimatum in writing — release Carter V now or we’re taking it to court.

Lil Wayne and Birdman are not on speaking terms. The two were spotted at the 16th birthday of Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae, but no photos of them together. Both Birdman and Wayne’s daughters are still friends. Lil Wayne is adamant that he wants off the label though Birdman says Wayne has yet to fulfill his contractual obligations.

Lil Wayne has been signed to Cash Money since he was 9 years old , now at 32 it’s kind of sad to see what has come of he and Birdman’s relationship. He used to consider Birdman a father figure. I wonder what happened.
