MempHitz Files Lawsuit Against Love & Hip Hop Atlanta
Ask and you shall receive. Many have been wondering why MempHitz hadn't bothered to sue K. Michelle and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta for slandering his name and making accusations that he assaulted K. Michelle several years ago. I always thought that he didn't do it because it likely wouldn't go anywhere. K. Michelle never said nor says his name on the show or while doing interviews. It's hard to go to a judge and claim slander when the actual person you're suing never said your name. It just becomes a case of "hit dog holla". Well, it looks like MempHitz found a way around that and he's ready to sign them papers, coming for Viacom, NFGTV and Mona Scott-Young's Monami Entertainment.

Atlanta, GA-September 4, 2012-Mickey Wright, Jr. p/k/a “MeMpHiTz”, is filing a federal lawsuit against the creators and producers of the popular VH-1 reality television show “Love And Hip Hop: Atlanta.”
Attorneys Conti J. Moore, Esq. of Conti Moore Law, PLLC and Alcide L. Honoré, Esq. of Hooper & Honoré, LLC, are representing Mr. Wright. He is filing suit against the following entities: Viacom International, Inc.; NFGTV, Inc.; and Monami Entertainment, LLC.
Wright is suing the named Defendants for approximately one dollar per viewer per show for damages that stem from the defamatory statements and denigrating actions of cast member Kimberly Michelle Pate p/k/a “K. Michelle”.
According to Attorney Conti J. Moore, Esq., whose practice is based in Orlando, Florida, “Ms. Pate has taken full advantage of society’s tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof. The only abuse that actually occurred is the malicious and calculated pattern of vicious lies Ms. Pate has assailed for the purpose of fabricating a compelling story line in an attempt to ruin my client’s name.”
Atlanta based Attorney Alcide L. Honoré, Esq. maintains that, “even the most ridiculous statements when repeated frequently become true in the minds of many. Ms. Pate’s preposterous claims, which include allegations that Mr. Wright mismanaged funds and caused her career to ‘flop’, have been adopted as truth by many followers of the popular VH-1 reality series.”
Wright maintains that the suit is not about revenge but is instead about defending himself and his professional reputation from the malicious false and misleading statements made about him on the popular VH-1 reality show.
“My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and the other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character. The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation and to deter these companies from doing such future harm to others.”
“Domestic violence is an issue of serious nature, often having grave consequences for true victims with whom we all sympathize. However, it is unconscionable for one to play on the sympathies of the masses by levying false accusations of such heinous acts against an innocent party, simply for the sake of entertainment or for purported career advancement. After reviewing the evidence in this matter, we are prepared to litigate this case to the fullest extent of the law to seek justice for our client and to restore his name and professional reputation.” Moore & Honore

He's a clown. That mess is NOT going anywhere because he was NEVER reference or named directly. Anything that hints his connection to the show was pure CONJECTURE on behalf of 3rd party outlets (blogs, etc.). So good luck dude trying to sue for $1.00 for every person that watched that show. Funny how he waited until the airing of the final episode to do it instead of earlier when the "streets was talking".
Mona Scott Young I'm sure has already preplanned for this type of thing. Even on the reunion, she said to K. Michelle that her relationship with her "label head" so to a blind eye, that could be anyone.

@Miss Double Kiss, to a blind eye the head of the label K Michelle was signed to can only be one person. A swift Google search can pull up who that label head was. K Michelle was smart when she just kept it to "he was from my hometown, he signed me" ..but once you mention the label (and she HAS mentioned Jive several times) then it's obvious who she is referring to. And obviously he waited til the last episode so he can get more money. IDK if the suit will go anywhere b/c it'll just be a big he/say she/say but people I know over at Jive/RCA can't corroborate K Michelle's story.....and I'll live that there.

I'm confused...I know that I've heard PLENTY of interviews where she's said his name (and Toya's, for that matter). This whole thing is suspect because he's not going directly TO HER. Whenever anyone else wants to keep people from saying things (see: Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh, Shaq, etc.), they file suit against the woman- not the production company.

And LIKE I SAID, to a blind eye he is a non factor...a person not paying too much attention to this dude and blind to all this AIN'T GONNA BE GOOGLING this dude...some of will but most won't because they dgaf. So as far as I'm concerned Mona Scott got this on lock. She has already thought through anything he may consider doing because he is making moves like a ho would. Who does this? Why not go for K? Naw, he wants that syndication and royalty money because the show was so successful. Mona Scott Young ain't no damn fool.

I'm glad. When someone spreads stories alluding to you in a negative light they should have to show proof or pay up. (and that includes anyone that helped them spread the negativity.)
This show may give off the feeling of "hometown gossip" but this is a multi- million dollar game being played...not local gossip about so and so's baby daddy doing god knows what to so and so's baby momma

He should be suing her for defamation of character. In the court of law, a party is only guilty if they knowingly promote false information. Now if they people he's suing knew for a fact that K.Michelle was lying and allowed her to say his name then they would be guilty of a crime. Him not personally suing her is suspect because if it's really about his name then he should be suing her every organization she publicly said his name

Thank you MDK and Cute! It doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever for him to sue the production companies. If she's the one blatantly lying, she should be the one sued. The excuse that she hasn't said his name on camera is a poor one- and can be the same excuse the production companies use, no? Lol
