For Women Who Want The Ballerific Life!
We reported earlier today that the New York Jets were interested in NFL Free Agent Michael Vick. It looks like they got their wish, as Vick will be joining the organization as quarterback in their upcoming season.
"It means a lot to have the chance to come in and play for a great organization that had a lot of success last year and being on the brink of doing some good things," Vick said early this evening. "Maybe I can come here and be an asset whenever my number's called. I'm excited, I'm elated, and I feel like this is a great opportunity for me and my family."
No official word on whether Vick will be keeping his #7, seeing as it is currently occupied by fellow QB Geno Smith, but rumor has it that Vick will let Geno keep the number. I'm assuming Vick was paid big for that one.
In semi-related news, former NY Jets CB Antonio Cromartie has signed a one year contract with the Arizona Cardinals for a reported $3.25 million. Antonio's wife Terricka broke the news on Twitter last night.
"To my Jets fans thank you guys for 4yrs of love my family and I truly loved you all. We wish nothing but the best to you all this season and continue to rock out for JetsNation. I will miss going hard on game days with you," she tweeted. " I look forward in what's next to come, god opens doors for you every day and he always orders our steps. I look forward to experiencing Arizona and can't wait til watch my hubby play along side another Pro Bowler"
She goes on to talk about the difficulties of raising small children in an NFL family.
"In all honesty this is the part of football that truly sucks, changing schools, looking for housing, leaving friends it's not always about money. My family loved it here, hated the weather but we loved our team.. So moving forward with all the hate tweets cause I'm showing love to our new team it's part of the business. You have real fans and fake fans u have fans who love u regardless those are the jet fans I will miss.. My family and I will take a big part or Jets Nation with us."
Good luck to both Vick and Cromartie in the 2014 season.
