Shayanna Jenkins, fiancee of convicted killer and former NFL star Aaron Hernandez, will not be facing perjury charges now that she’s cooperated with the court to put Hernandez behind bars for life.
We previously reported that Shayanna racked up perjury charges early in the Aaron Hernandez case but was looking at the possibility of immunity if she testified against him. She did testify and it looks like the prosecution made good on their word. Shayanna was back in court today and was relieved to find that her perjury charges had been dropped. When leaving the courthouse Shayanna told reporters that she is “feeling great” and excited about starting her future with her daughter. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the couple may have called it quits? Apparently when asked if the two were still together Shayanna laughed and said “ehhh” so ladies looking for a jail pen pal, Aaron Hernandez is free.
