PGA Golfer Robert Allenby Says He Was Kidnapped, Beaten & Robbed After Golf Tournament

Talk about a rough weekend. Australian PGA golfer Robert Allenby was in Hawaii this past week to participate in the annual Sony Open. After missing the cut on Friday and preparing for a long trip back home, he, his caddy Mick Middlemo, and another friend Anthony Puntoriero first stopped at a nearby wine bar to let loose after a long week. Middlemo left the bar early and when Allenby and Puntoriero were getting ready to leave at around 11pm, Allenby went outside first while his friend went to the restroom. By the time Puntoriero came outside, Allenby was nowhere to be found. Allenby was found early Saturday morning by a good samaritan who took care of him and brought him back to his hotel in Waipahu. Allenby claims that he was abducted from outside the bar by a group of people, beaten, robbed of all his cash and credit cards as well as his cell phone, and driven seven miles away where the group of people then dumped him in a park. Allenby also believes that he was drugged at the wine bar and struggled to remember exactly what happened on Friday night. He says that when he regained consciousness, a homeless woman approached him in the park and told him that she witnessed a group of men throwing him out of their car.

The Golf Channel posted a picture of Allenby after the incident.

Allenby is currently working with local officials and FBI to try and identify the people who did this. Damn…cold world.
