Pilar Says She Found Out About The Divorce From The Internet

Imagine logging on to the internet, checking out your favorite blog sites only to find out that to your surprise you are getting a divorce. That’s pretty much what Pilar Sanders said was the case in the divorce of her and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.

If you remember correctly, Deion and Pilar’s marital drama played out heavily over the web. First, there were comments made by Chanita Foster on Dallas radio about alleged infidelity by Pilar that spilled over to Twitter then Deion was caught cheating when his 19 year old mistress sent pictures and text messages to Media Fake Out . A few weeks later Deion issued a statement exclusively to a blog site saying that he’d be proceeding with a divorce, citing that he more or less was tired of the attention and work Pilar is getting. Pilar took to Twitter to confirm this. A few days later however, Deion took to his Twitter to say that he doesn’t read blogs and would never issue a statement through one. Clearly this was the first sign of trouble in paradise. Now just a few short months later, Deion officially files for divorce and yet again, statements have been issued via the internet. Pilar states that she’s put in a lot in the last 12.5 years and intends to make sure that in this divorce, her and her children are taken care of.

Pilar says the news of the divorce has been shocking. She does feel however,  that for the sake of their family Deion will come to his senses as this was just a “lapse of judgement”. So far Pilar will be getting a $10M home for her troubles. Deion declines to speak to the media any further and wants to handle the matter privately. Finally Deion.
