Police Say Colin Kaepernick & NFL Friends Called EMT, Had Victim Transported To The Hospital

I’ve realized in following this story that there are several pieces to this incident that TMZ is refusing to report. I’m sure it has a lot to do with the fact they are trying to save face. Unfortunately their attempts are not only a bad look for Colin, but a bad look for the alleged victim, who very well may not have made these allegations in the first place.

We are learning more and more about the faithful night on April 1 in Miami. Now we find how the alleged victim ended up at the hospital, and that it was the NFL players that called the police/ambulance.

Miami Fire Rescue personnel transported the 25-year-old woman from the players’ suite at the Viceroy hotel to a downtown Miami hospital. Lt. Ignatius Carroll said emergency responders were dispatched at 12:32 a.m on April 2 and that they were summoned by police, who already were at the hotel suite.
Sources familiar with the incident said one of the players placed the original calls – two of them – to police. When police arrived, they became concerned with the woman’s frame of mind and they called Miami Fire Rescue, which handles the city’s EMT service.
The police investigation began April 3, when the woman arrived at the Miami Police Department at 9:40 p.m. She told police that about 48 hours earlier she arrived at a suite at the upscale Viceroy hotel, made drinks for the players and that they told her in order to drink with them “she had to ‘hit’ the bong, which contained marijuana.”

I find it funny that TMZ has yet to report ANY of this. They also refuse to report that Miami PD has said that they got the story all wrong and neither Colin, nor the players were suspected of any crimes. The fact that THEY called the police proves that.

It seems to me that the girl got extremely wasted, blacked out, and they handled the situation responsibly. It also seems that she woke up in a hospital, afraid, not knowing how she got there and decided to take the necessary precautions to make sure she WASN’T drugged or raped by getting a rape kit and toxicology screen done. This is what you are SUPPOSED to do when you wake up in a hospital bed and have no idea how you got there.

Neither of the test results have been released to the media as of yet and based on the police report, it doesn’t seem that she is accusing any of the players of any criminal wrong doing. It’s sad that TMZ, as journalists, are reaching so hard for a story that instead of just posting what was in the police report, they had to exaggerate it and manipulate readers into thinking it was bigger than what it was. Now not only are you painting Colin and his friends as rapists, but now the poor girl who had to experience this is made to look like she cried wolf or was looking for a paycheck. Very tacky journalism.
