A little over a week ago we reported that Philadelphia rapper, Freeway, had been diagnosed with kidney failure and had underwent two rounds of dialysis. The rapper is finally speaking out on his diagnosis, which he says took him by surprise.
“I had a routine physical with my primary care doctor. I gave blood one day and I went on the road for the weekend,” he tells BET in an exclusive interview. “Then I came back and I was at home lying in bed and I got a call from my primary care physician who told me to get to the closest emergency room because my levels was off. My kidney functions was real low and everything was just out of wack. I didn’t know what it was. I was just in tears.”
Freeway has since been keeping fans updated with his health, treatments and other current events on his Instagram page. He appears to be in good spirits. Get well soon, Freeway!
