Return To Sender: An Open Letter To Yandy Smith

 

Dear Yandy,

I was made aware of a blog post where you brought up Baller Alert. First off I want to thank you for taking the time to address us. Although we are flattered, I think you have displaced your anger. Allow me to help you place it.

 

First, let’s take a look at what Yandy wrote us titled Yandy Smith Pens Open Letter To The Media:

 

You seem to be attacking the media when in fact, your issue isn’t with US it is with the skeletons that Mandeecees’ closet is so full of. That, my dear, is not OUR problem. Never once did I as an editor or has the owner EVER said anything negative about you, Yandy. Your problem seems to be that every time ANYTHING is written about you someone (a reader, commenter, etc) clocks your tea and drags you for filth. I’m sorry ma’am but we can’t censor our readers and you shouldn’t want us to. Address your issues with the folks who are talking about you. I don’t make the news, I just report it.

 

Contrary to your belief, most of what has been written about you and Mandeecees (with the exception of minor details) has NOT been “lies”. In fact, every time Mandeecees lands in jail, you can date that tea being spilled here at Baller Alert at least 6 months prior.  Is your issue with us stemming from someone going to our forum and posting to the world that Mandeecees was an alleged child molester or is it that a year later, he went to court for that very same thing? Is it because someone sent us a Baller Mail telling us Mandeecees was involved in a multi million dollar drug ring and a year later he’s facing 15 years in jail? I don’t have an issue with you deflecting your anger  but you can’t have an issue with people saying you deflected that pussy to Mandeecees when he still had a live in girlfriend. Nor can you have an issue with us screenshotting Mandeecees’ ex girlfriend / baby mama calling you a hoe on Instagram. SHE called you a hoe, not us. Point your pretty little fingers to the right people.

 

I applaud the million of things you have on your resume and I wish you and Rich Dollaz well with whatever it is you guys are doing this season but from one young black woman to another, blame Mandeecees trife ways, not us. I am not the reason you are a single mother, he is. That’s not a shot at you, but clearly you are angry that he did so much dirt and now all of New York is writing us to expose it. You have become collateral damage and you have no one but Mandeecees to blame. Don’t shoot the messenger.

 

I find it ridiculous that you took the time to target Bossip, Hollywood Street King and Us instead of addressing the people who send us supposed malicious stories about you. Fact is Yandy, we have written a TON of nice things about you. We talked about how beautiful your son is, your jewelry line and when you choose to dress nicely, we discuss your fashion. It’s unfortunate that you found yourself caught up with a loser but we use that as a cautionary tale that other young women can learn from. Don’t disregard the MANY nice things we say about you just because HIS TRASH keeps getting you dirty. Lay with dogs, get fleas, Granny said it best

 

Again, address the people talking about you, not the person who copied and pasted (or screenshot) what they said. If you are dying for privacy, step out of the limelight. If you want us to talk about the gazillion wonderful business things you do, have your people email our people.
