We recently got to met actress and ex-football wife Rosa Blasi during our filming of the Anderson show. She was there on behalf of Baller wives to discuss the struggle wives have to deal with wile dating a Baller. If you're not familiar with Blasi's life as a Baller Wife, she was married to Jim Finn, formally of the New York Giants. Blasi claims since the day of their wedding he lied, cheated and did prescription drugs. Tough life for wives right? Well, although you would think Baller Wives would hate women who chase ballers, it turns out Rosa isn't too different from us at all....she too was a "jersey chaser".

Rosa wrote a book titled Jock Itch: The Misadventures of a  Retired Jersey Chaser where she tells the story of her moving from the Midwest to LA in her early years to snag a Baller. She dates a hockey player, a basketball player,  a baseball player & later meets her now ex husband, the football jock. She goes on to talk about snagging her baller, he sleeping with her best friend on their wedding night, and losing her Baller. Looks like Rosa could've really used our Bad Baller List back then, huh?

People ask me all the time: "What was it about jocks that attracted you so much?"

I'm not gonna lie. It's as exciting as you think it is -- a total rush -- sitting in the stands and watching eighty thousand people go mental, screaming for your guy on the field. A guy on the field that only you are going home with later. The whole ride is a completely unique experience. But like most unique experiences, they come with unique ups and f*** you's. And being with a pro athlete has its share of f*** you's. Trust me, having been a fly on that locker-room wall, and seeing the inside world of sports few have seen, SportsCenter doesn't cover the things I've been privy to.

The book also features a "Where To Meet An Athlete" guide, much like my Super Bowl blog that was featured in the New York Post. The guide lists Super Bowl parties, strip clubs and team charity events as just a few of the spots you can snag a baller. 

The book itself isn't half bad. Rosa talks about her experience with ballers, all ending up BAD. All being a bunch of cheaters. Keep in mind, from the beginning they told her what it was and she fooled herself into thinking otherwise. Pretty much she tells the same story of every female who dates just about any guy. My main reason for reading this book, although my busy schedule hasn't allowed me to fully complete it, is that our taping the "wives" came off a little harsh, as if they didn't quite understand why women would want to date a Baller. Mind you, these were wives and ex-wives of Ballers themselves. Deep down, Rosa knew exactly what the women of BA are going through because she too has had a relationship with quite a few Ballers in her day, even going on to marry one. If you ask Rosa if she'll ever date a Baller again she has no problem telling you she's left that life behind her. “I would never date another athlete again. Never, never, never,” she tells The New York Post. “For the love of God . . . please don’t bring home an athlete.” But can you ever really leave the Ballerific Lifestyle? Is it that easy to go from a Baller to a regular guy? Let's face it, even Rosa went through at least three Ballers who all more or less did her bad. The punishment didn't outweigh the thrill. My overall feelings about the book? I like it so far. I love that it's written like a  regular  person having a  regular  conversation with a girlfriend. I like the fact that she is willing to admit to her "groupie" ways & talk about some of the foolishness she went through to get a Baller's attention. I guess it proves Hollywood Actresses aren't very different from us after all!
