There is saying that goes “first impressions make lasting impressions”. The same thing goes for first dates. The first date can determine whether or not you will be seeing your beauty again or if you will spend the next few days talking to voicemail. You shouldn’t feel pressure because you already got her to agree to go out with you. It’s just now up to you to get her to go out with you again.

Pre-Game
Women like to feel special. A properly planned date lets her know that you are into her and you’re ready to do what it takes to make sure that she has a great time. It is best to try to set up the date about 24-48 hours prior to when you want to go out. It is common for men to find out what she likes but you should also find out if she’s allergic to certain types of foods. You could end up looking like an idiot if you take her to a seafood restaurant and she’s allergic. On the day of the date, make sure you get directions from your place to hers, and from her place to your date destination. You can ruin a date by being late and/or getting lost to your destination. Be prepared and don’t show up empty handed.

Location
The purpose of a first date is to learn about the person. While you might want to “wow” her with your spontaneity, choosing a bad location could pull attention away from her learning about you. I recommend choosing a place where you can talk. Restaurants are a top choice but you must choose wisely. Choose a restaurant that has a quiet romantic setting. This will give you both an opportunity to focus on each other.

The Conversation
This is the most difficult part of the date. Sparking a conversation can be nerve wrecking. You don’t want to offend her and you definitely don’t want to end up looking like an idiot. Have no fear because you have an advantage. An advantage? Yes. A characteristic that women love in men is being a great listener. All you have to do is ask the right questions. Find out about her hobbies, what she likes to eat and drink, where she wants to travel and her job. Her answers will help you determine compatibility and aide you in planning your next date. What you want to avoid however is corny, rude, and offensive jokes. You also want to avoid talking about her past as she still might be hurt from her previous partner. By the way, earn points by complimenting her. Observe and be creative. For example, if she’s wearing a dress with a low plunging neckline, compliment her on her necklace. If this part of the date goes well, you will be discussing where you want to go on the next date.

Post-Date
The date went well and now it’s time to take her home. She had a great time and you don’t want to ruin it. Sex is on your mind but is it on hers? She wants to feel wanted but she also wants to know that you are into her for her and not her “ass”ets. Thank her for going out with you tonight. You also want to let her know much you enjoyed her company. For even some more points, compliment her again on something you complimented her on over dinner. Once you arrived to her place, be sure to walk her to her front door. Remember, tonight was about having a good time and getting to know each other so expect a simple hug and a kiss at the end of the date. Have fun.
