This year was a big year for 19-year-old #American artistic gymnast #SimoneBiles at the 2016 Summer #Olympics in #Rio.

According to reports, she lead the U.S. Olympic women’s gymnastics team to the gold, winning gold in the women’s individual all-around, vault and floor exercise and bronze in the balance beam. The first woman in two decades to win back-to-back Olympic all-around and world titles, coined as the most decorated American gymnast in history.

However, according to a few #Russian hackers, the #UnitedStates “played well but not fair,” suggesting several American athletes were using banned substances while competing in the Summer games.

Russian hacking group, #FancyBear, somehow got their hands on the medical records of Biles, #VenusWilliams and #ElenaDelleDonne and leaked them, as an act of revenge.

Apparently, the hackers were upset about a #NewYorkTimes article that resulted in the ban of the entire Russian track and field team, reports state.

The good news is, the United States athletes that were affected by the hack had authorized therapeutic use exemptions. Basically, they were allowed to use the banned substance for medicinal purposes.

Both, Biles and Della Donne responded to the leak on Twitter.
“I have ADHD and I have taken medicine for it since I was a kid. Please know, i believe in clean sport, have always followed the rules, and will continue to do so as fair play is critical to sport and is very important to me,” Biles posted on twitter.

“Having ADHD, and taking medicine for it is nothing to be ashamed of nothing that I’m afraid to let people know,” She added.

Della Donne posted a picture of herself in a hospital bed, with the caption “Quick Update!”

“Successful surgery on my right thumb. Thanks for all the well wishes! I’ll be back on the court in no time,” she wrote. “Side note: I’d like to thank the hackers for making the world aware that I legally take prescription for a condition I’ve been diagnosed with, which WADA granted me an exemption for. Thanks, guys!
