Steve McNair's Double Life Strikes Again

It seems "till death do us part" is so not the reality in the case of Mechelle McNair, wife of slain NFL star Steve McNair. It's being reported that a woman in Mississippi is claiming McNair is the father of her teenage son and is seeking child support for her share of his estate.
Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy indeed. And what's painfully disgusting is his wife has to live out another one of his extra-martial affairs in the public eye, without him to buffer the blows.
In documents filed Friday in Nashville, Clover Lee claims that McNair is the biological father of her 17-year-old daughter, referred to as J. N. L., and that the girl ought to be named an heir to the fortune. Lee, who lives in McNair’s hometown of Mount Olive, Miss., has asked the court that the McNair estate be required to pay “all back due support as allowed by law,” according to court records. McNair’s estate has been valued at about $19.6 million.Source
Lee’s attorney, David Pitre of Gulfport, Miss., declined to comment Saturday but said in a statement that “we expect that questions of paternity and heirship will soon be conclusively answered by DNA testing, which is currently being conducted.”The popular football player didn’t leave a will. Widow Mechelle McNair has filed a petition naming four children as heirs; J. N. L. isn’t one of them.
It was unclear Saturday why Lee came forward with her claims more than three months after McNair’s death. McNair would have been about 19 years old when Lee’s daughter was born.
Because McNair didn’t leave a will, his widow is entitled to 40 percent of the net value of the estate. She has asked the court to award her that amount in addition to property that widows are allowed to keep, including cars and household furniture.
The thought of having to share any of his estate, I'm sure is horrifying to Mechelle, but if McNair did father a child then, this woman is entitled to child support. I'm sure there will be a paternity test to confirm or deny any actual relationship between the child and McNair but if this is true...WOW. Another shocker...and it seems the ghost of McNair lives on.

If he has been your 'teenage' childs father this whole time you wait until he dies? that don't seem like typical baby momma protocol. furthermore, I would think he would be more valuable alive... 17 years? i vote no.
