A lot of people haven’t being paying attention FIBA as much as they were paying attention to the FIFA World Cup, probably because the NFL is back. Either way, we have something to be proud of. Team USA (consisting of James Harden, Demarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Kenneth Farried, Derrick Rose etc) dominated Serbia 129-92 to take home the FIBA World Cup, proving once again that the United States knows basketball. Kyrie Irving took home the MVP Award leading with 26 points and 4 assists. To celebrate the victory it was only right that Team USA hit the shmoney dance.
Tonight’s win means the United States will automatically be headed to the Summer Olympics when it hits Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016.
