THE OTHER SON: Part 3...Complicated
Katrina was in pure shock. She ran to Damien’s apartment in record time and began banging on his door. After about two minutes Damien opened the door. He was in a towel and was dripping wet. She could help but give him one over.
“What? This is the second time today you have been banging on my door like a mad woman.”
“Damien, I just saw him!”
“You just saw him who?”
“Joe at The Green. It was him I’m sure of it!”
“Isn’t Joe in the hospital shot up?”
“That’s what I thought. I ran into Fred and he said Joe was in the hospital with a tube in his mouth and that is the reason why the police can’t question him but I saw him today and he was healthy.”
“Kat are you sure it was him? He is in the hospital.”
“Damien, I’m telling you it was him and he spoke to me. He told me that he see me later.” She said sounding very upset.
“Look Kat, calm down. I’m sure it was just somebody else playing a joke on you. You’ve been through a lot. Just take a breath ok?”
“All right,” she said and took a breath.
“Feel any better?” he asked.
“A little but I did see him and I’m sure it was him Damien. I’m sure.”
“Okay, okay why don’t you stay here for a while? Did you get any sleep last night?”
“Barely.”
“I’ll get you some water. You can sleep here on the couch if you want.” He said and went into his kitchen to get her some water. She watched him walk away in his towel. Terrible thoughts filled her mind but she snapped out of it when he returned and handed her a glass of water.
“Here drink this.”
“Thank you.”------------
“Your welcome.” He said as she drank the water. He noticed that this was the closed he has ever been near her with out anything on except a towel. The heat from her body was making him feel a little too excited and he knew he’d better but some clothes on or something before that excitement was visible. “I’ll be right back. I’m going to put some clothes on.”
“Okay.” she said and watched him leave once again. He was fine.
Greenburg hospital
Joe was conscious. He knew where he was but he could talk due to the breathing tube. He didn’t feel any pain at the moment but he didn’t feel good either. He couldn’t believe Jay shoot him. He wondered why he did it. He was still in the dark as to what he was talking about in the first place. What girl was he referring to? It didn’t make any sense at all. His doctor told him that he would be ok and that the surgery was a success. He would have some scars but other than that he would be fine. He’d just be stuck in the hospital for a little bit. That was good news for him but he was still worried about Jay coming and finishing him off. He just wished he knew why he shot him.

“Hello Joe.”
Joe’s eye looked over to where the voice came from. It sounded so familiar but when he saw the person before him he knew why. The man before him was his twin.
“Surprised to see me again are you? To bad you can’t talk at the moment. I came to see how you were doing.” He said as he walked to the other side of the room. “Sorry about the hospital bill your gonna be but what can I say. Didn’t know Jay would do it. I guess he really did love his girl. You know me. I like to test the waters. She was very good though. I’m glad I got her on camera. I got that other girl on cam too. It’s really nice video. You should check it out. Well I better let you rest but I’ll chat with you soon Joe, real soon.” He said and walked out of the room.
Joe stared at the door in shock. What had he done?
Damien’s Apartment
Damien walked back into the living room with clothes on this time and sat next to Katrina.
“Okay, do you feel any better?” he asked.
“Yes, I do. Thanks Damien.”
“Your welcome.”
“Damien, do you think I’m crazy?” she asked.
“No, I don’t. Why would you ask me that?”
“Because of what I just told you. I know I saw him but it is impossible but I know it was him.”
“I still don’t think your crazy. I think you are just stressed but not crazy. He put you through a lot of hell. I’m sorry that you had to go through that.”
“Don’t apologize. It wasn’t your fault.”
“Maybe, if I hadn’t introduced you it would have never have happened. I thought he was a good guy. I really did. I didn’t think he do something like that. If I did I would have never introduced you two. I’m really sorry.”
“Damien, How could you have known? It wasn’t your fault ok. It was mine.”
“No, it wasn’t your fault. Don’t ever blame yourself for what happened.”
“I should have seen a sign or been smarter. I should have noticed something but I didn’t. I didn’t think for a moment that he would do something like that.”
“Katrina, it wasn’t your fault.” He said to her as he pulled her closer to him. She could feel the heat from his body and smell his cologne. She felt herself beginning to feel heated by this closeness.
“Okay. Could I stay here for a little while? I don’t want to be alone in my apartment.”
“Sure, I don’t have anything to do. How about some HBO? True Blood is coming on and I missed the last episode.”
“I love that show. Turn on the TV then.” She said and curled up against his body. It was the perfect excuse to get closer to him. He turned on his TV that was of course set to the porn channel. Some woman was going to town on some guy’s d***.
“Oh sorry, I forgot that I left it on this channel.” He said as he turned the channel quickly.
“Some how I’m not surprised. What is it with guys and leaving their porn around? At least make sure you change the channel or hide the tapes.”
“Well I live alone and I don’t usually have people in my apartment.”
“Did it have to be ghetto booty eight?”
“Well yeah but wait how did you know it was ghetto booty eight?” he asked.
“Women watch porn too.”
“You watch porn? No way!”
“Yeah I do. I think a little visual stimulation sometimes and I don’t have a man so it helps.”
“Yeah it does help. Maybe you could be my buddy the next time I watch it.”
“Hahaha sure.” She said,” Now can we watch the show?”
“Yeah, we can.” He wondered if she was serious about what he asked. ‘Could she be serious? Naw’ he thought as they watched the show.
When the show ended Damien found that he had wrapped himself around her body. Katrina has always one of those real women. She had enough meat on her bones to give her a real shapely body that guys would just love to get their hands on. He tried not to notice her like hat but it was too hard not to. He wondered would it be like to massage those big breasts of hers. Maybe put some whip cream on them and then they would taste just like cake.
“Damien.”
“Yeah?”
“Do you think I’ll find somebody one day?”
“I think you will. You just have to give it time. You deserve a good guy not a bad one like Joe. A guy that is going to treat you right and be there for you.” He said
“Thanks Damien. You’re a good friend.”
“Anytime.” He said as his brushed against one of her breast as he reached for the remote. She felt herself start to become damp down below.
“Umm Damien, can we get something to eat?”
“Okay, how about some pizza?”
“That fine. Come on we can catch the pizza shop before they close.” She said as she got up quickly. He wondered what he did wrong. She seems a little alarmed. He missed the feel of her body against his and the warmth it produced. Maybe she curl up with him again after they got some pizza,
Joe’s Hospital Room
Joe’s mind raced in his head. What was he going to do? He didn’t rape those women. When did his brother rape Katrina? Katrina had been avoiding him for months and left a message on his phone saying se never wanted to see him again. Joe had just got back to campus. He decided to take a semester off and go to Spain so when had he asked Katrina to be his girlfriend? It was all too confusing. It had to be his brother. He did this to him and those other women. No one knew he had a twin brother. They weren’t raised together. He stayed with his mom and she remarried while Jack lived with their father. He didn’t know that inviting his twin brother to stay in his a part while he was away would turn into such as mess. Who would believe him? He had to do something but for right now there was nothing he could think of so he had to wait.
Pizza Shop
“On pie come up so Damien you finally got yourself a girlfriend.” Bobby said as he made another pizza.
“Huh, oh no we just friends.”
“Sure you are.” Bobby said as he put another pizza in the oven.
Katrina walked to the counter with two sodas. “Damien you want this one?”
“Yeah sure.”
“Okay.” She said and looked over to the window. She saw something move in the shadows. She walked over to the window to get a better look. She saw Jack standing in one of the streetlights looking back at her.
“Damien! It’s him. Over there in the streetlights, look! There he is.” She yelled. Damien ran out side but he was gone. After looking up and down the street he came back inside the Pizza shop.
“I didn’t see him.” He said.
“He was there.”
“Who ever it was if I catch them I’m beat their ass.” He said.
“Hey Pizza’s ready!” Bobby yelled.
“Okay, I got it.” Damien said and went to pick up pizza. “Come on Kat let’s take this back to my apartment. You’ll be safe with me.”
“Okay.”
They walked back to the apartment complexes and went up to Damien’s apartment. They hadn’t said much on the way there. Katrina felt calm when she was around Damien. He always had a strange effect on her. If she was feeling bad, he could make her feel good. If she were upset, he would make her feel calm. Damien made her feel safe. Maybe that is why he was the first person she’d run too if she felt in danger or she was angry or sad. He was her best friend.
“I think another episode of True Blood is on. I’ll go check.” He said as he put the pizza down on the table. Katrina opened the box up and took out a couple of plates. She doubted that Damien would use the plate. He tended to eat a whole slice of pizza without taking a break. Everyone wanted to put him in a pizza-eating contest but he always refused.
“Is it on?” she asked.
“Yes it is. Let’s eat” He said as he went over and grabbed a slice and before he got to the couch he had finished it and went back to the table to get a second. That was Damien for you.
“By the time I finish this slice you’ll be on your third.”
“Yeah that sounds about right. You eat too slow for me.” He said and got comfortable on the couch.
“Oh really,” she said and finished her slice and took a bite from his new slice of pizza that he had just picked up.
“Hey, I was going to eat that.”
“I know but I helped you.” She said
He put his slice aside and started tickling her; after all taking a bite out of his pizza was a big deal. She started laughing and tried to get away but he had her pinned down with his bulk of muscle.
“HAHAH Damien okay! Okay! HAAhaha” she laughed.
He stopped with his tickling and laughed with her. It was then that she started to notice how close she was to him. She could feel his heart beat and feel his weight on her. It wasn’t like when Joe raped her. This felt different. She was calm and excited. His warmth covered her as she calmed down from being tickled. Their eyes met and they say each other differently. It was then that Damien leaned down to her and kissed her. He pulled away slightly and Katrina kissed him back before he could explain himself. She didn’t want him to talk. She didn’t want to feel awkward or explain. She just wanted to feel his body against hers; her lips against his.
Their bliss was only momentary. The high-pitched ringing of Damien’s phone made them jump apart. Damien scrambled to pick up the phone. The caller I.D said the number was a telemarketer so he picked up and hung up the phone quickly in order to get back to Katrina but the moment was already lost.
“Sorry just someone trying to sell me something.” He said moving closer to her.
“Yeah they can be annoying ummm… I think I should go.” She said getting up.
“You want to leave?” he asked.
“Well yes and no…it’s just I have a ton of things to do and I need to get some rest. Thanks for the pizza.” She said rushing out the door.
“Oh man, I messed up.” He groaned rubbing his eyes.
Katrina took a long breath once she was in the safety of her apartment. She couldn’t believe she kissed Damien. Not once but twice and she liked it. They were just supposed to be friends. Then she rushed out of there like that because she didn’t want to face him having realized what happened. She like the way her felt but no they were just supposed to be friends not lovers. She couldn’t face him after this. It would be too hard and she wasn’t sure she was ready for that although she wanted it. Now she had to avoid Damien and Joe. It was becoming too complicated.

Reading this whole series for first time today. I was right. Joe had a twin (EvilJoe=Jay=Jack). Jack raped Katrina and they exist on the same campus without anybody knowing they're 2 diff peeps. I think Jack has mental issues....sibling rivalry, jealousy, need to covet or own whats his brother's. Joe might have tubes in his mouth but if he's awake and thinking cognitively then he should still be able to get the nurse's attention from the button on his ICU bed and write or scribble any msg he wants on paper or a board. Can u pls tell us where on his body he got shot...which organs??
Its a shame the university is trying to cover up the shooting for PR sake cus if it had been reported to the regular police.....a detective would've been assigned to the case and one of the first things they do is pull the victims phone records (especially calls right before the shooting). EVen if Jay blocked his number there would still be a record of Joe calling him and the detective would identify him and realize Joe has a twin.
I even think the supposed telemarketer call that came into Damien's apt right b4 he was about to get busy with Kat was from Jay. Think he followed them home from the pizza joint and was snooping from a window then blocked his number and called right as he saw what was bout to go down.
