Former Mrs. Carter, Toya Wright, was arrested Tuesday in College Park, GA after tweeting her husband MempHitZ a Happy Birthday earlier that day. Cops say Toya was pulled over when they found out she had an arrest warrant for a recent failure to appear in court. Toya was arrested then released today at 1:30am on a $290 bond.
Why was Toya arrested? Allegedly it was for unpaid parking tickets. Knowing Atlanta, this is definitely a possibility. According to reps for Toya, the entire situation is a misunderstanding. Toya paid the tickets, but apparently they were not recorded properly. Toya’s reps say they are currently going over the situation with her lawyers.
