Over the weekend The Game was involved in a bit of a scuffle during a basketball game in Hollywood. According to the victim, he was sucker punched by the rapper on the court. Want to know what else? Turns out the victim was an off-duty police officer. I’m sure Game wouldn’t have socked him if he knew this minor detail.
We won’t disclose the name of the officer but we do know he is a 27 year old rookie cop with the LAPD who prior to getting into law enforcement, was practicing law as a legal analyst for nearly 3 years. What does this mean? Simply put: He knows his rights. He also knows his way around the court because he attended Kansas State University and the University of Southern Mississippi on a basketball scholarship.
The Game reportedly says that the officer threatened to go into his gym bag for a gun. The officer and his witness, a fellow baller, says that The Game threatened to kill both them both because he was being a sore loser.
Game initially planned to turn himself in to authorities yesterday. No clue if he actually did or not, but he did post a lot of photos to his Instagram yesterday that made it seem like it was “so hard to say goodbye.” Who knows! What we do know is that LAPD is definitely investigating, regardless of whether or not their fellow rookie cop plans to pursue things further. Oh, and before you say it’s about the money, apparently the victim comes from wealthy African parents.
