Wendy Williams and Nene Leakes were both tapped to be keynote speakers at the Atlanta Women’s Expo over the weekend but reportedly there were issues behind the scenes. You may recall Wendy and Nene had a bit of a beef last year over Nene’s Birkin bag (I know, it’s silly. Read about it HERE). With time the two seemingly got over it, apparently Wendy’s husband didn’t get the memo.
Reportedly Wendy and Nene never saw each other at the expo but when Wendy’s husband found out that Nene was nearby, he went ballistic.
Nene confirmed to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that something did indeed go down in Atlanta. “I didn’t see Wendy or her husband today but a lot happened backstage with her husband, I heard. Just because I was on stage, he went completely crazy, I heard.”
Nene was to speak at 1pm and Wendy at 1:30. That could have been planned better, if you ask me, but it’s possible organizers just did not know. That said, Wendy’s husband should consider staying out of women’s business.
