WHEN BALLIN' GOES WRONG: THE STORY OF DELONTE WEST

For the life of me, I can't seem to understand why these athletes choose to knowingly make the wrong decisions. Unlike myself, I go to work everyday, slaving for a few dollars & my paycheck STILL comes nowhere near what he makes a game. Yet, I don't complain.
As I'm riding home, I hear on the radio Delonte West of the Cleveland Cavaliers has been arrested. For what, one might ask? Oh, just riding around on a motorcycle carrying three firearms, while driving a damn motorcycle! To my knowledge, it's a violation of his NBA contract to operate any type of dangerous machinery. With that being said, I ask again, WHY MUST THEY CONTINUE MAKING THE WRONG DECISIONS?
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - NBA star and Prince George's County native Delonte West was arrested Thursday night on the Beltway and charged with possessing two handguns, ABC 7 News has learned. West, 26, was driving a three-wheel motorcycle about 10 p.m. Thursday night when he allegedly cut off a Prince George's County canine officer in a marked cruiser, police said.
The officer stopped West near the Route 214 exit. When the officer approached, West indicated to the officer that he was carrying a gun, sources said. The officer, following proper procedure, called for backup.
A search of West turned up a 9mm Beretta pistol in his waistband, a .357 Ruger strapped to his leg and a shotgun in a guitar case slung over his back, the sources said.
West was taken into custody about 10 p.m. He was released after going before a court commissioner Friday morning.
West, a 2001 graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He started in every one of the team's 14 playoff games last season and logged more time on the court during the playoffs than any of his teammates.
West lives in Brandywine.
I understand, he that lives in a glass house shouldn't be one to cast stones, because trust, I'm far from perfect. We don't even know the real story behind what happened, but common sense should have told him otherwise. I just know if I'm paid to do what I love at that price, I'd try to remain as squeaky clean as possible.

On September 17, 2009 Delonte was pulled over on his motorcycle for cutting off a Prince George's county police officer. Once pulled over Delonte told the officer he was carrying a handgun in his waistband. The officer then called for backup and then searched Delonte. The officer found three guns in total, a 9mm in his waistband, a ruger.357 strapped to his leg and a shotgun in guitar case strapped and slung over his back. He is charged with speeding and two counts of of carrying a handgun. He was released on September 18, 2009 on bail
