Snapped on Lifetime is one of my favorite shows. Please don't ask me why. We have all snapped at one point in time. In one split second your anger can turn into a nightmare.

I caught the Nikki Redmond story and it hit home. Nikki was a girl that was in love. A smart girl...she finished Spelman college in three years and became a teacher. She was a runner-up in the Miss Savannah pageant.

One problem..she was dating a two-timing man by the name of Kevin Shorter. Nikki said he was abusive..(don't know if they proved that). Kevin proposed to her...after the two were engaged for three months Nikki found out that Kevin was engaged to another girl (he bought both of them rings). Nikki approaches Kevin and the other girl and Kevin started screaming things like "you are nothing to me". Nikki shot Kevin in the leg - Nikki claimed self defense. Complications at the hospital had Kevin bleeding internally for three days and he passed.

Nikki was charged with murder but was later acquitted...

In my opinion..she probably did shoot him in a jealous rage. Our emotions get the best of us sometimes. For a man to ask a female to marry him and to find out he is engaged to another female is foul. By no means did Kevin Shorter deserve to die.

Ladies..we have to get in control of our emotions. Learn to walk away from these triflin men. When I heard the news of Kandi's ex being passing from being hit in the head with a bottle I was shocked but it also humbled me. I have thrown a few bottle or two at people. I have done things that I do not even want to post on this blog. It could have turned very ugly and my life could have been changed forever.

These men out here are not worth it...if they dog the hell out of you just walk away..and heal.

To the fellas: stop playing with women emotions. If you still want to play and be disrespectful please watch Snapped and watch how many wives and girlfriends SNAP and kill their boyfriends/husbands.

Be careful out there...anger management.

I disagree. I don't think that this could be anyone. Some handle anger and certain situations better than others. I didnt see the show. But the only way I would of shot him if he had kicked down the front door and my bedroom door.I definitely dont believe that all men cheat. Allot do but not all. That isn't fair to assume that. That would be like saying all women are faithful. After he went off on her in front of the other woman that should HAVE BEEN IT FOR HER. That was a clear and bright sign. No phone calls, no coming by the house no nothing all his stuff packed up and dropped off at his mommas house. I don't understand how some smart women can be so dumb. He was abusive? Well she wasn't married to him yet. You have your degree and a good job. MOVE so he cant find you. Did she get any charges? At all? Her actions led to the loss of someones life. She should be punished for that.

I'm going to have to agree with whoever said, "That could have been any one of us" when emotions run high (hurt, pain & anger intensified) mixed w/ adrenaline, you don't know what you are capable of. It's been like 10 years since I've blown up at someone without thinking so I thought my anger management & new out look on life worked (i thought i was a newly calmed person), but a couple of months ago some s*** popped off between me and a dude (that i wasn't even in a relationship with) and next thing you know my trunk is popped, the bat is out and I'm trying to throw knives at this ninja like I'm Jett Lee. All it takes is a second of not thinking for things to get out of hand, especially when you are at your last breaking point. Luckily I had someone in my corner that wouldn't allow me to jeopardize my life over nothing. I'm not saying what she did was right, but sometimes emotions outweigh better judgment and you end up on Lifetime or doing Life. But hey it differs from person to person. I know my little, black, unstable ass is a perfect candidate for the show, so I've learned to remove myself from certain situations before they become too much for me to handle.

I love this show! Sometimes I tell myself to stop watching it before i end up ON that muhfuckin show! My friend that I told yall about on "confronting the other woman" she was snappin out and was DETERMINED to do something until she ended up in cuffs. She wasnt arrested, but she was slowly simmering until she boiled and he was saying things to her out of anger and also because he was infront of another b****.

Men do that. I was in a situation that was like an episode of "Cheaters" w/o all the cameras and s***. he started callin me all kinds of b****** in front of the girl he was cheating with. But when we talked a few days later, it was a different story and he was all apologetic. Same thing with my bd, in front of the other b****, he's like "yes this is my girl" like she's the s*** and she's standing there with her arms folded like "yeah b****, I'm the s*** now" But she had to pick her face up off the floor when he called her a few days later, on speaker phone while sitting next to me, telling her he's done with her and he's back with me and we stayed together for a while. So for dude to tell her "you are nothing to me" is just him saving face because he was probably doing so much lying to the other chick, he was stuck.

As someone who's been "snapped" on, I have to say it taught me to walk away from an argument. When you keep "shouting" and won't back down, no one wins. I can't see myself physicall hurting someone even though I have wanted to, but when it happens to you, it helps you understand how your words and one single action can really send someone over the edge.

I thought I was the only one that Loved the show snapped! Ive been watching it since it was on A&E. I think I mainly watch it so I won't snap I guess I could say that its a very educational program to show how your life could be ruined in a matter of seconds over a man and I can't have that. Ive been in situations where I was ready to pull the trigger but snapped out of it cuz I guess I wasnt ready to walk the Green Mile. Lol!
