Women have always had it a little harder in the business world. We've had fight harder to be hard, work harder to be paid and if we got pregnant, prove ourselves more just to regain power. It's a never ending battle. But sometimes, that battle is our own fault. Sometimes women just let men get in the way of progress.

How many women do you know that are great at what they do? They're the top of the class, hardest workers you'll ever encounter. When things need to be done it gets done Yesterday. Then things begin to change when she gets a man. Her work ethic begins to dwindle and her career takes a backseat. She's found love. Oddly, women feel that love and business can't equally coexist at the same time. We've yet to find that magical way to make them both work for us. We're either single and power houses, or we're seeing someone and allowing them to consume all of our time. It's funny because men don't do the same for us. When a man is dating a woman he is still holding his spot at the top of his game. Never will you see a man put his dreams on hold for love. It doesn't mean he doesn't truly love his partner, but you'll never see him lose success over a woman. So why do we put our dreams and our money on hold for love? 

Now how many women use the sex approach to get to the the top? They sleep with whoever they need to sleep with to make it to the top. They eventually make it there but what ruins it? Their mouth! They can't stop running their mouth. They make the mistake of telling one too many people that they accepted money from Mr. X and slept with Mr. Z and that's why she is wearing Louboutins and you're wearing Payless shoes. She'll even walk around the office place trying to down-play her Ho sh-t by saying her and Mr. Z are in a relationship when the world knows that was never the case. In turn, all of this information is used against her and becomes her demise. She's snatched from graces as soon as she got there. Had she kept her mouth closed, she probably could have hung around a little bit longer. Believe it or not, there are men who sleep with women to get to the top as well. They'll play like it never happens, but it happens just as often to them as it does to us. Women in a place of power know their bargaining tools, just as men do, so men know that sometimes they have to put in some extra work to make it to the top faster. Men will gladly trade sex for money or job opportunities, but they'll never talk about it. See, men will NEVER open their mouth to tell you that they did ho sh-t for extra change so what ends up happening is they get away with it. Another way women let men get in the way of business.

Let's look at Ashanti, Keyshia Cole, they find love and now can't find hit records. They fall from grace. Meanwhile their men are still working, even Nelly is somewhere still producing Apple Bottoms jeans. Women, no one is saying love and men are wrong, but know every time you fall back a man is taking your place. Men don't let women come between them and money, why should you?
